According to today's edition of the Wall Street Journal, a small but growing number of businesses are now actively hiring people to write blogs. (Alas, the full article is available to subscribers only.)

Stonyfield Farm Inc., an organic yogurt company, Flycell Inc. an 18-month-old provider of mobile-phone content, and Dale & Thomas Popcorn, a gourmet popcorn company, are all listed as companies on the hunt for bloggers to call their own.

Desired qualifications: ability to write in a conversational style about timely topics, and experience creating and updating blogs (including creating links to other topical blogs).

Base salary: $40,000-$70,000, depending on the company.

Not a bad gig!
