New Statistics on the State of the Internet

Akamai Technologies, the world’s largest operator of a network of computers, recently published its most recent “State of the Internet” Report. The report, part of a quarterly series, discusses data gathered across Akamai’s entire global server network and is full of statistics on web traffic, average and maximum connection speeds, internet penetration, broadband adoption and mobile usage (all facts which are important for marketers in the web space) as well as the trending of these statistics over time.

If you have the time it’s definitely worth taking a look at, information on the state of the internet helps marketers who work in the online space to get a better idea of their audience and what their audience needs. Information is a marketer’s best friend, and this report is full of it.
